VMware Certified Advanced Professional
VMware have always attempted to try and bring a new level of skill and qualification to the market with their products, and very recently, VMware created two new qualifications as part of the VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) path. The qualifications were designed to show further and advanced understanding, beyond the standard VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and it was split into two categories, the Datacentre Administration (VCAP-DCA) and Datacentre Design (VCAP-DCD). Authorisation is required to enter into these qualifications, and a short pre-qualification survey is required to be completed, and accepted by VMware before you can continue. You are then invited to take on the challenge!
For more information about the VCAP qualifications, you can visit VMware’s VCAP Information Page
I have passed both qualifications, earning both my VCAP-DCA, and VCAP-DCD. My transcript shows I am VCAP-DCA #32, and VCAP-DCD #59. My experiences on both exams can be found here (VCAP-DCA) and here (VCAP-DCD)
