London MCM Expo – May 2011 – Post Event Update
London Expo time, and once again I am with DDR:UK and having a great time with all the machines, consoles and tournaments for the day. This marked the 6th year that we have been attending the London MCM Expo, and things have evolved majority since then. I mean I found this picture the other day, this is our stand from 2005!
Back to 2011, and things went very well. We still are, and always will be, pushing to better ourselves, and to bring more to the event. All in all, if you ignore the issues we had with security (who were doing their job I have to admit), it was a pretty fun weekend. Just got to concentrate on the future with that.
For a brief moment on the Sunday of the Expo, and a number of miss-communicated messages, I was able to actually get outside (yes, outside, the one place I don’t think I have EVER gotten to during the event itself), and join Street-Angel, SuzuNyan, NavigatorxNami and a number of others for their “Clamp in 3-D Land” photoshoot! Unfortunately I ended up being a few minutes late, but I got a few photos!
You should be able to see all the photos in the Cosplay part of my weekend below:
I separated them out, but below are the photos of the DDR:UK stand itself:
Once again many thanks to all of those that attended and helped out on the DDR:UK stand, and additional thanks to those cosplayers that put up with me for the few moments I got away too!

Hi there! Sorry for my late reply!
Yeah we got a lot more space at this event, the stand opposite ours decided not to run there as the event started, so we moved a load of consoles over to try and fill the space. Hopefully we can continue with that much space (its like 20m x 10m all in now! — a LOT bigger than when you were last here!
Yup, Supernova2, DanceDX and technically an old 8th Mix machine which we switch the arcade disks around in
— They are all somewhat owned by people with DDRUK, The Supernova 2 belongs to SAS (a friend of mine), while the other two are owned by DDR:UK
Shame I can’t actually get any time to work on them to make them look better.. they are starting to show their age!C

Sorry for the late reply, but it looks great, Colin
It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but are there more people at these events in recent years? Did you have more floor space given to you this year or does it just seem bigger in the photos?
Also, is that a Supernova 2 machines I see along with the gool ‘ol Dance DX machine? Is that yours too, or is that on loan from somewhere? (The Troc?). In IMG_4888 I can see another DDR machine there in the background, too. Wow.
